muleskinner, thanks for the reply i put the ertl gear on there because of the hassel stakes, i wish the peerless were that good.someday ill dig her out of the bone yard and try again.

I've always been partial to the ERTL Unit as it has a reach which is a least in scale to the rest of the trailer instead of the pecker pole they put in the AMT Unit.

UPDATE! cleaning around the shop today and looked out the back door at the freightliner sitting piled up under a couple old lumber truck tarps. So I thought to myself hmm i should do something with that. Anyway the wife comes along and says the same thing so it was time to go grab a shovel sitting in the yard and get her in the shop. After some examination the damage wasnt as bad as feared, the frame is still straight so here we go. Got the front springs and axle back in so far and pics will come as it progresses.

rear ends are sitting back where they should might get some pics up tonite after the glue holds.

They are nice tires, I got mine from sourkrauts but he always seems to be out of everything.

Dave i measured and calculated the wheelbase a few minutes ago comes out at 231.25 inches so 231 id say.

Those rear drive tires are PIRATE copies of Clint Freeman's 11x22 cleated drive tire. Originally CFC cast them in hard resin, then transitioned to soft urethane. CFC offered these in 10:00x20 & 11:00x22.
