The cab is all finished and this sub assembly is ready for paint and detailing. Still have to add ll the piping and such under the deck. Cheers: Bill

Hi Jim Its a logging yarder. If you ever watch that History Channel show Axmen, Mike Pihl Logging uses these. They are a small mobile yarder. About 11 minutes in to this video, you'll see them in action. So, if I understand this correctly, a yarder moves the logs from one part of the job site to another.

yeah they hook big loops of wires around the logs called chokers. then the yarder will use its winches and lines that run up through its tower to bring them in the air. some yarder's lines go out over a half mile to a tail hold tree.
