I've been looking forward to seeing some of your builds here. I like those old Petes, is this in 1/16th scale? Have you used that slide-off decal paper? I've had good sucess with it and as you know, it adds a lot to a model to have custom made decals. Fred

Hi Fred, its 1/25 scale. I use the decal paper you can get from Micro-Mark. I think this is what you are referring too. It's great stuff.

I remember this truck as it was broken up and the truck became #30 lumber rig based out of Winston and the trailer went to 30 which was a long stretched out International COE unit over at the shop in Coos Bay. Very good detail here on an old Stalcup. John would be proud.

Very nice. Use to see these trucks all the time. I think they had a small yard in Springfield as well as Coos bay.
I agree with Ryan if they made that kit it would sell.

They had a shop at Coos Bay and Springfield. They had lots at Gardiner, Porter Creek on hwy 42 and Winston. They also had about five rigs on rotation at Brookings.

Bill, The water slide paper that I use is from Texascraft.com, they have a Inkjet model builder's kit for those who would like to give it a try, all you need is a Ink Jet printer, and a paint program for some basic decals. Fred

'Tis funny how those of us around these things take it for granted that everyone knows how they work.
Gator, most of these trailers are backed onto a huge platform with hydralic lifts and they lift the truck and trailer up in the front and dump the chips out of the rear. Just like being a huge dump truck only it's a platform.
I'll try and find a photo of one dumping later.
