to make rusty bubbled paint, like we see here all the time in upstate NY. After piriming the model, but pefore any color paint is applied, layout where you want the paint failure to be, on the model with a pencil. Then in this area apply a coat of model master "rust", and while it is wet, sprinkle baking soda lightly on the fresh paint. After this dryes, apply another tin coat of MM "rust" paint & let dry overnight. Next, in the area you want the the bubbly rust to be exposed (because out here we see rust bubbles under the paint before the holes appear) apply rubber cement to cover what will become the visual rust. after the rubber cement dryes, spary the desired paint color. after the paint color is dry, use tweezers to pull off the rubber cement, exposing the "rust". Next use the Rust-all system of washes & powders to add depth & highlites to the mess. Ap40 Attachments:

You can aslo used baby powder for moderate surface rust or Ground corn meal. I've used bothe and they work quite well.
