Hi all, Just a preview of my current WIP: Will be 100% scratchbuilt. A modified/licence produced Soviet copy of the Caterpillar SixtyFive from 1937. Here's a link to a walk around of a restored wee beastie = Walk-aroundAnd now onto the build

And my re-introduction to modelling: I think I'm starting to get the hang of this hack'n'slash stuff again . More to follow _ _ _ _

And a bit more plastic hacking: second to last photo show's my 'deliberate' mistake - messed up on the radius and thought I could do a cut'n'paste fix, but it will be quicker and easier to redo a whole new piece (hey I'm still learning ). More to follow _ _ _ _

Beautiful work, Roger. Are some of those parts CNC milled, or is it all done with hand tools? Just incredible.

Hi Jim, No CNC work here , all done the old-fashioned way with basic hand/modelling tools. Cheers for looking in.

Hi all, Finally managed to get a part built that's been holding up further progress: Looks simple enough but with 32 pieces and a minor angle at the base it has caused a few "rebuilds", now just have to finish the other one and tidy them up a bit, then rebuild the equaliser beam (photo references differ from the parts manual) and slap them together and hopefully it will start to look like a crawler. Cheers for looking in.

Hi all, just spent a few hours marking out the drive sprockets (3 pieces for each of the main web spoked part, will post at another time). Anywho just needed something quick and easy to work on so had a bash at the fuel tank. I'm not overly happy with it, hence it's rather rough finish - indents seem a bit big (your thoughts) so might rebuild tomorrow.

I think the fuel tank looks good. Maybe with some paint the indents won't look too deep. But it is your build!

Had one of those "the lights are on but nobody's home" days yesterday. Everything I did yesterday has to be rebuilt - even messed up on the sprocket marking out . Might have to take up knitting instead . Rebuilds currently in progress _ _ _ _ Cheers for the input.
