Robert,
Nice, i really like the changes you made to the chassis to get it to sit level. Gives the truck a more rigged stance.
Looking forward to see more on this as it moves along.

Robert, your work never ceases to amaze me,nice detail on the front end and looks sooooooooo much better leveling the suspension, kit has way to much "rake' to it...

Thanks guys, yes the kit does have an odd stance to it. While I did extend the wheelbase some it is still a fairly short truck so the rake is quite noticeable. I split the difference between raising the front and lowering rear with styrene strip shims between front axle & springs along with some judicious filing down of rear axle & springs. Photo of 1:1 truck shows it sitting level which makes sense as fire apparatus tends to be the maximum allowable weight for number of axles.

Thanks guys! This is one of the truck kits I didn't have a youngster, in fact I don't recall ever seeing one except in the pages of "Building Model Trucks" so it's been fun putting one of these little Dodges together. Same for the AMT pumper. Pump body painted, Model Car Garage etched door handles:

Thanks, I'm having fun seeing this come together. Unfortunately not modelling this week, on the other hand I am doing something "fire" related, on a course up at the Ontario Fire College for the week. Hope to see progress this weekend coming up though!
