These kits a real foriegn to me as I'm stuck on building the old W-925 KW's and 359 Pete's from the early '70's. Wouldn't know how to put something together that fit. Mike

Tyson, Good start on it. Are you building an Aussie or American rig? Will you shorten the sleeper?

Looking great. With the exception of the tires and wheels I really like the snap KW.

Tyson, Good start on it. Are you building an Aussie or American rig? Will you shorten the sleeper? Gator It'll be American. I have an affinity for American rigs moreso than Aussie rigs. Not gonna shorten this sleeper, although I have future plans for another truck that will require a sleeper shortening. Looking great. With the exception of the tires and wheels I really like the snap KW. I like the overall look of the snap, but I just don't dig building snap kits. Just not as fun to me. And I'm with you on the tires and wheels. Hate the way they go together, and I'm not too keen on the tires themselves. They look more like pick-up truck tires to me. I will say that I'm really surprised at the chrome sprues with this kit. On all of my other more expensive kits the chrome parts are kinda dodgy, but on this kit the chrome was REALLY top notch. I usually dechrome the sprues and go aluminum or stainless, but the chrome was just so nicely done here I had to leave the wheels chromed.

Tyson, I used to think the same way about the snap kits. But it doesn't take much to change them around and add different bits here and there. And there are a number of people now who are changing the wheels and tires to ones that are more suitable. And yes the chrome trees in these kits are usually very good!

It's not so much that they're not interesting to build. Just that they're such quick builds. I guess they all are if you want them to be, but with the snap kit I literally had it out of the box and built up in fifteen minutes. I guess one pro to that is you get to spend more time painting or adding bits and bobs.

Sat this one on the back burner for a while and now I want to go a different direction with it. Two questions though. I've seen some loggers with some pretty big sleepers. Anyone ever seen an aerodyne 900 logger? If not, I was gonna convert it to a daycab. What do I do with the sleeper then. I kinda wanted to build a K-100 aerodyne to represent a Hot Wheels truck I had as a kid and was thinking of putting it on that, but then thought it would be easier just to buy an actual K-100 aerodyne kit instead.

One problem with the aerodyne sleeper is its hight would kick the trailer reach quite a bit higher unless your thinking of different trailor types.

So. What do I do with this thing? Anyone have any ideas? I don't want to just build a highway truck. Looked around for pics, but nothing is very inspiring.

That was my initial plan, but the wife keeps begging me not to. She likes sleepers on trucks. I'm not particularly fond of them.

I just showed her a military C-500, and it got the stamp of approval, so I may chop, hack and scratch the hood.
