Did anyone say Ice Road Truckers? ;D Started with a Revell of Germany Peterbilt 'Canadian Hauler' kit. The hood I converted into a glassfibre hood by sanding off the detail and cutting off the steps. I also cut down the sleeper box (and suicided the doors inadvertently, but I can live with the Custom Sleeper box concept), made a lift axle (on which the wheels need some fine-tuning, since they sag), put on a scratchbuilt headache rack, adapting the kit's vertical part, with drom deck and fenders; these latter were, together with the rear mudflaps, leftover parts from a SnapTite KW kit. I also put on wide front tires, using Italeri trailer super singles. I also used Italeri Peterbilt fuel tanks, extra lights on the mirror brackets and a scratchbuilt pushtruck bumper panel. Of course the decals come from modeltruckin.com. The square turn signals on the front fenders I robbed from an AMT Pete kit.

Thanks Richard! I tried to get the official color through a hobby site from the US, but because of some regulation they couldn't ship overseas. Picked it up at the hobby store, Tamiya Color spray can (I think its #15).

That color looks like tamiya French Blue. Its about the closest you will get to the right shade. This truck is beautiful!!!

Thanks guys! The duals on the lift axle should have been a single, I know. Yes, a 1/25th Maya would look just great with it. And a live one for me as well....

Thanks! Oh well, after having watched IRT Season 4 way too many times, I knew what I had to build next. My truck is loosely based on those impressive KW T-800Ws that Carlile uses for pushtrucks, but mine just somehow had to be a Pete...!

Different with the dual wheeled lift axle. Nice truck. Mike I knew I had seen a dual wheeled lift axle somewhere before, but I couldn't recall where. Just know I was looking at some clips on youtube, if you search for Triple R Diesel Project #18 you'll see the conversion of a KW W900 that has a dual wheeled lift axle as well.
