Here it is. A big black Peterbilt, mildly tricked out, like an O/O who spents some of his downtime in customizing his rig, but not going overboard on it. Yet. Started out as a 378 reissue kit, but with the P&P hood conversion set it has turned into a 379-127. The use of the P&P parts didn't stop there. The single round headlights, as well as the louvered grille and the Ultrabcab roof added more class to this 2000 Pete. The Texas bumper and deep visor are made of real aluminum (bought them on Ebay), as well as the fat pipes and the frame mounted toolbox. Under the hood sits a Cummins engine from an Italeri Western Star kit, the frame step, mud flap brackets and the round hole wheels are robbed from that same kit. The quarter fenders come from an RoG 359 kit, the deck plating is Evergreen material covered in BMF. Some extra clearance lights on the cab roof (presumably a train horn under the hood), as well as some lights on the mirrors and at the ladder in front of the air cleaners.

YEP, sure is a chicken truck.... I have pulled a few off of my job sites over the years. Those "Texas" bumpers can only plow mud for so long.....

I agree ! The Texas bumpers make good snow plows, but don't work well in mud 2 ft deep!! Nor do they work well on rough job site roads!

Nice custom. I saw a bumper like that on a logging truck not so long ago. I wonder how many logging roads he graded with it!!
All kidding aside, this is a really nice looking build of a classic Pete look.

Thanks! This was the first Pete I built with lots of resin, and I'm very happy with the end result myself.
