Thanks guys. I have come to accept it will never be done. I started building it when I was still very new so I am always correcting little things I messed up and adding more details.

Nice build. It's so important to have the truck bunk in the correct place as it determines how much weight your steer axle will carry. Also, some time back I built a set of bunks and used picture frame wire for stake cables but since have been told by William of the surveyors twine. Mike Hosted on Fotki

what else can be used? Cal Try Muskie Master, although it is black, it will conform and have a more realistic scale appearance. www.cortlandline.com/products/default.asp?id=155This works great on die-cast model cranes as well. For winch cable i use elastic cord, fine diameter, comes in a variety of diameters. It is great for the realistic "taunt" pull on a cable as the fine diameter has a very light pull. Any craft store, some walmart's, or a Jo-Ann fabric. Ap40

Another great "realistic touch" is to use thin solder for the air lines on the log trailer reach. it easy to paint it black after you move it to a realistic "sag". Of course the solder is great for hydraulic lines as well.
