Hi Folks This is a back dated to 1958 conversion of the AMT D8H kit. I converted it to cable lift angle blade system. It also has a non turbo pup start engine. Winches and starter motor are all scratch built. The cat is displayed pushing gravel into the reach of a Bantam swing shovel Thanks for looking Carl

Carl,
I remember this Cat from way back when I first joined the forum circute. It has always been my favorite as Cats are my favotrite Critters, tracked or four legged. I also like the idea of the basic dio display. Not over worked but shows the Cat in action.
Great Model

Great models Carl. I love the older cats and shovels are my favorite piece of equipment. Is that a Bantam shovel. I have had sometime on a Northwest 25 lot of fun to play on. Anyway very nice job. Dave

Great stuff. By the '70's they had ROPS and a ripper and weighed in at 87,000 pounds and sold for $87,000 which worked out to a dollar a pound. Mike

I belong to the antique caterpillar club and your D8 would fit right in. Dave
