This Hayes WHDX-1000 6x6 was built with a MT&FA cab & frame, and 7 photos taken in Italy of the actual beast. DDC 16V-71TT, hooked up to a Clark 16000 series converter & transmission. rear axles are Clark BD-91 while the front is a FDS-1937 by Clark. Tires are 16:00x25 all around. I started the model in 1995 & finished it in 1998, as it took a long time to find the technical data on the truck. There were a total of 4 6x6's made. 2 pairs, I modeled one of the smaller units. At some point i will model the larger unit, as i now have the parts needed for completing it. Ap40 Attachments:

What a great build. Even the tires look as if they have been crawling over sharp rock. Mike

Rick, Fantastic build! I think that the time and effort spent on research and fabrication, was well worth it! Great looking purpose built truck.

let me just say the pix don't do Rick's build justice! I have seen them at the Fulton NY show! a great modeler and a very nice guy to talk to as well. one of the reasons I make the trek to Fulton!
