I don't have a habit of building this type of build, but I have done just about every type of model in the logging industry except the following build of a wrecked peterbuilt from the late 60's. I almost canned this because a good friend of mine who was at the house was looking at it and the next day he had a wreck while driving his Chip Rig. Anyway the build represents a logging truck coming off the mountain loaded and suffered a loss of air brakes and careened into a large Fir tree along the road and glanced off of it, causing the load of 6 - 12 inch cullers it was hauling to attack the cab and headache rack. The rig then continued down a ditch and finally come to rest against a very large rock bluff. The driver himself survived the ride but not without a few minor injuries from jumping out of the rig and rolling down the road a few feet. When it was pulled back on the road it was also discovered that some where along the skid it had picked up a small log which went through the front of the Curb side fuel tank and was wedged under the rig. Okay, now the rig started out as a Revell Alaskan hauler Pete and was heated with a lighter then distorted bent and destroyed by bending and squeezing the plastic. After which it was built per the instructions except where I back dated it with parts from the Parts bin. It was then heavily weathered and detailed to bring out the full effect of the wild ride it had been through. Below is the results of the build. Hope you like it.

WOW, amazing build.
I feel the anguish in the reality of this build.
Thank you for posting.

Wow! I've seen some wrecked 1:1 rigs (admittedly highway, not logging) up close and you've captured the look perfectly. Now, does the driver have some 1/25 scale explainin' to do?

It's very realistic....looks like it would have been a scary ride.

Looks great William. Looks so real it is scary. I have wanted to do something like this for a while but I have not been brave enough to wreck a good model yet Dave

William just showed your wrecked truck to my wife and kids and they wanted to tell you that they really loved it and they are very impressed. Dave
