I have one of these from when they first came out. Had it for about five years and still haven't done anything with it.
Great job on this one.

sweet build of the Cat version. KFS got in hot water w/ Cat over that one, so he totally re-tooled it into a Link-Belt. I have been sitting on the LB version for at least 3 years now, still contemplating....
It stits on the shelf with the massive L-190 front end loader.

he didn't get permission to do it? it isn't like he was going to make 1-1 of it.I know there is trade mark issues but this is a model not 1-1. probably all tied to greed.
great job Justin!

It is all greed. I don't remember who but I read that a decal maker got a cease and desist letter from them for make CAT badges for model trucks. Now that is just ridicules.

Cat is one of the worst on licencing, they find you, come in and piss in your wheaties....... for days. ends up costing the caster / maker huge $$. the others to avoid are GM, and all there brands, Komatsu. Paccar/KW/Peterbilt/DAF/Foden/Carco/ Braden used to be super friendly & easy to deal with, now they are on the greed wagon. Mack / Volvo, Scania, MAN, Merc-Freightliner-western star-Chrysler-Fiat are ok. Back with RNK i had to carry a 2 million $ insurance rider & pay out 5% in royalties. In todays world, the rider is $4 mil, & 15% of gross. WFT. Ap40
