so the downside of taking the model to the shop for photos, is now it is all taken apart & getting a rebuild......
far to much blue to put it back on the shelf.

That is a sweet looking heavy hauler!!! I didn't realize Fords could be outfitted like that. We don't see many of them out here in Idaho. Most of ours are light to medium haulers. I think the colors look very good together. Course....you have to realize I am a "westcoaster" that likes black chassis and lots of polished aluminum and chrome.

Yes, well my east coast up bringing comes thru in my models, less chrome, colored chassis, more paint & pin stripes. Om the heavy spec'd Ford, well the Louisville built trucks could be spec'd out just like any other truck of the time. We still have many LTA & LTL's in the area with 11x24 rubber, 550 hp Cat & Cummins, 21K front axles & 65K rears. Ap40

so here is the after, took it mostly apart, changed out the 11:00x22 rear tires for 11:00x24, swapped out the front 10:00 x 22 floats for 14:00x22. Changed all the wheels over to 2 hole budds, stripped the cab, hood & cab guard & re painted it with Krylon Osha orange. Pulled the Cat 3406E & freshened it up. Ap40 Attachments:

According to the spec sheets i have on the Aeromax 120, it could have up to 65,000 lb tandems & 11:00x24 rubber all around.

Rick, I liked it blue and I like it now. With that big rubber on the front it almost cries out to be all wheel drive! Would like to see a drop deck with a load of counterweight on it!
