I'd be very interested to see some of the suspension you put under the trailer.. It looks great so far!! Nothing like a serious trailer for a serious truck!!
Cheers

That is going to look great. I wonder how hard it is ti change the inner tires on the 1 to1. Dave We used to have a 1960's 200 ton Talbert 16 wheel drop deck & in the yard a tire change was not terrible. On the road with a full load on, well that is another story. In the yard, we used a fork lift to pick the rear of the trailer up & set it on heavy steel stands, which allows the suspension to pivot side to side. usually a strap on the good side and lifted from above with another forklift, up as high as it would go. this action would lower the bad side down enough to get in with the impact tools & remove the inner wheels. Then they were slid out from under the trailer for replacement. We did this with a strap hooked to a truck & just drag it out. To put the tires back on, we used a forklift with a single long pole reach to push the tires back under the trailer. Then another choked strap around the tire & picked from above to help it into position. Dirty & hard bull work but it is still not too bad. Ap40

Thanks Rick, I always wonder about things like this. So it must have been a real bear to change tires on the side of the road with a load on. Dave

Thanks Rick, I always wonder about things like this. So it must have been a real bear to change tires on the side of the road with a load on. Dave More often that not, if a inner blows during transport, the convoy will drop the MPH down a bit and keep the load moving. That is as long as the distance left to go is not that far. Otherwise it is just a miserable job to do in the rain or snow........... Ap40
