Looking for any ideas or materials for a metal walking grate ive been searching with no luck any ideas would be great thanks scott

What I used was 1/8" pattern wire form mesh that I picked up at AC Moore. It looks alright. Here it is on my GMC Astro/95:

Hi, K&S sells a roll of copper diamond mesh. Looks really good. Another good option is dollar store frying pan splatter screens. Usally aluminum diamond mesh. Thanks Doug.

Looking for any ideas or materials for a metal walking grate ive been searching with no luck any ideas would be great thanks scott go down to your local Wal-Marts and pick u up what they call a splatter screen..look in the department that also has utensils..about 8$..great for 1/24..1/25 scale..it is diamond pattern.and u get 2 ..one about 12 inches and one about 14 inches

Thanks for the walking grate ideas. I have some K&S copper mesh and it is nice stuff but the other two ideas never occurred to me and may even be less expensive.

Definitely the splatter screen !!! If you have a dollar store nearby or a WalMart they are cheap, and you can use scissors to cut it.
