With modelling time limited as of late the only projects underway have been a couple Petes for the cpb at a neighbouring forum, this one was inspired by a Coors 351 and started with Heller's reissue of the AMT 1/43 scale 359. Frame & cab mostly stock, sleeper modified to have full height door and roof vent relocated: Hood narrowed: Wheels modified to 5 hole: Fenders on & grille opened up for shutters:

Thanks! I'm getting to like these "little" trucks, plus I had the same kits as a youngster so it is a way of turning back the clock too. Some kit parts replaced, Luberfiner is one example as it was easier to whittle one up from styrene tube & strip rather than clean up seams and preserve molded in detail on kit part. Gear stick also replaced with scratchbuilt part as kit one was a bit clumsy looking. Dash decal suppplied in kit was used though. One other alteration was opening up interior tub so peep window in passenger door is uasble (interior tub molded solid )

Paint on frame & sleeper, still some finish work on hood. Air cleaner again scratchbuilt rather than clean up kit part. Upper portion will be finished chrome and installed on air cleaner at final assembly.

Headlights and bumper installed, headlights are stock kit parts while bumper is made from .060 x .125 styrene strip. Rad shutters are .010 x .040 styrene strips on a piece of .010 black styrene so they can be installed after cab/hood is painted (shutter assembly just set in place for photo)

Cab/hood painted, next trip to paint booth will be for black fenders & bumper. Vent window divider removed from cab, will be replaced by thinner styrene strip after side window glazing installed.

From looking at 1:1 photo and other Coors rigs in various truck books (aka "research"! ) this looks like one of Brisson's rigs, some modeller's licence used for permit #'s on door decal. Stripe around belt line cut from white decal paper, 2 layers required to get proper opacity. Stripe on sleeper has only 1 layer applied here, some of red showing through giving it a mottled appearance.
