Before coming back to building Logging equipment, I was into building a lot of emergency vehicles dealing with The California Department of forestry, until they discontinued the decals for them. The following are a couple of those rigs which I built many years back.
This is a small Ford woodland attack vehicle which is a combination
of an AMT ford F-150 and the Monogram(?) or what ever 1/32 scale snapper fire truck. It is heavily modified using Resin parts from Police Car Models on the net. www.policecarmodels.com
This unit is an example of a woodland attack snorkel unit used by CDF back in the 70's to modern days. It is based on a Chevy Bison kit which I obtained and the Fire Apparatus unit on the rear deck is scratch built from Card stock with the addition of resin parts from Police car Model, once again.
