What would the measurements be for a kenworth 123 cab that I want to cut down to a day cab? I want to make a log truck out of it. Going to make a Weyerhaeuser truck out of it. Thanks for any help. Dave

I cut mine down to 63" BBC, and it's going onto a 122" WB SD tractor. I messed up the rear window when I cut it out. I didn't realize that the corners are rounded.

An even shorter option is 52", photo in "Kenworth Trucks 1950 - 1979" shows a truck of similar vintage to AMT kit (with narrow grille and turn style door handles) with that cab. There is just enough space behind door for single vertical grab bar.

I think that 52 is what I am going to shoot for, thanks Robert. Dave

Thanks for the compliments. This was before I cut the rear window out.

I am sure glad I have a lot of sanding supplies, I cut the poor cab down this weekend, and it looks like jack the ripper got a hold of it dang what a mess I made. Oh well it will be fun fixing it. Dave

Won't be as bad as it looks I'm sure! One item that can be of help (if you want to retain the rivet detail) is rivet decals sold by Micro-Mark, their O scale ones are an excellent match for the KW kit ones both size and spacing. The Esso K100 I built started with a K123 kit cab, trying to preserve rivet detail gave me fits until I discovered these. Once they are in place a couple applications of Solvaset then prime and decal film is no longer visible.
