Cool. I saw a few of those when I was in Iraq. I bet! If they had the V-8, they have a very distintive sounds, as the firing order gives it the tone of several skips. When under a load they sound mean. Ap40

another view. There are still many of these all over the new england states, especially NYC & NJ. Although the US version were all day cabs on the convetionals, and short bunk on the COE's. They all had the 11.3L inline 6, with the scania gearbox, rear suspension was walking spring clipped to the top of the axle housings, heavy & indestructable rear axles. Most came thru with 12 x24 rubber & 6 spoke wheels. Ap40 Attachments:

In the crane & rigging shop, we had one of these and we all tried to see if wwe could stall it. No one could. after a while it became the "punishment truck" after certain drivers caused too much damage on the rest of the fleet, they were put in the Scania. The inside was very spartan and simple. Ap40 Attachments:

Love it. These scania's have also been my favorite of all the Euros. Must be the cab design which gives it a rugged look.
