Here is a Diamond Reo Raider i did many moons ago, from a cab kit when Frank Gortsema first offered this kit. It is on a AMT DR C-11664 chassis, old RNK wheels & tires & some really gaudy paint....... Ap40 Attachments:

great build..i like the finders u built.. Thanks, i made them out of the old Don Mills 1/16" thick diamond plate. Real miserable stuff to work with, of course that was long before Plastruct made the ever popular .020" vac formed DP sheet of today. Ap40

I like it. The colors remind me of a B Model Mack in Canada that can be found at Hank's truck pictures. It was still at work until recently. Nice job.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards Thanks The door logo is the symbol for atomic energy & the letters NRC, was a little humor since the colors are rather bright "Nuclear Regulatory Commission" ;D ;D ;D ;D Ap40

That is a handsome truck Richard I have always thought the Raider was a very tough beefy looking truck. I have never seen one in Western Canada, I would suffice to say they ended production of those in the early 80's? I am sure there aren't any resin copies available anywhere. I think when Frank was producing resin everything went pretty fast to some very appreciative customers. That unit of yours would look good pulling something heavy and nuclear related, electrical switch gear or something like that.
Cheers
Roger

In fact the patterns for both of Dave's Raider's were done entirely by me! I had a complete set of engineering drawings for all the parts, so the hoods are correct & cast with the under hood structure in place! in the photo, the left is the set back axle & the right is the set forward. Rick, Those hoods look really good. I know I have been wanting to get those kits for some time now. I guess I am going to have to get them soon.
