That will certainly look big, but the reach on the trailer looks rather puny compared to the rest of it. Did you use the standard Peerless trailer reach? if so, for the off highway type you are building, it should be at least twice the size it is. Also the trailer seems to sit rather low, considering it has 14x24 boots on it. The wheels on the trailer have drive hubs in them, most all of the big offy's in the Pac-Norwest have the 6 spoke Kay Brunner type wheel. Just my 2 pennies. Ap40 Its like I've mentioned many times before the AMT Trailer reach measures way to small for even a normal highway rig. It should be for highway use about 10 x 10 inches around and for Off Highway approximately 12 x 12 or 14 x 14 inches in diameter, or 12 or 14 inches for round diameter reaches. The Amt reach scales out about 1/26 or 1/28th scale in size and is way to small for what it is meant to represent. If you go to Hints and Tips on this forum, I gave a critique on converting the Amt Reach and bringing it up to size which would help a lot in bringing your trailer up to the standard size for off highway use. You are off to a very good start but you really need to convert the reach to standards.

You need to extend the frame behind the rear driver of the truck about 6 - 8 feet to form a stinger for this type rig, other wise the trailer will not trail the load properly and will bind up the bunks. Also an Offer of this age will have to have water cooled brakes on the truck and trailer, if it is a West coast truck. For an Offer you will also have to beef up the headache rack because of the size of the loads they haul and the weight. The Headache rack needs to be extended up above the cab about three more feet and a loading platform for the driver put on the Cab top. The driver usualy stands there to direct the loading of his truck.

oh i am aware of the mis haps on this build next log truck i do will be correct this was my first log truck build. Sp why not take the time to learn now??? tear it apart & make use of the knowledge & tips that have been given. You might be surprised at the results if you take the time to re-work the rig. Ap40
