Im not sure if this is the right place to post this (sorry William) Just saw this AMT D8 on the heavy equipment forum, look at the tracks, their amazing...do you think he robbed them from a Norscot model? I would have asked the owner on heavy equipment forum but he hasnt been on since last year Attachments:

You know I'm not sure where he got those from but I bought a set three years ago and used them on an old Holt unit I did which is posted on this Forum. They are off of a Die cast Model and I think Ap40 might know which one as he has a couple of those Die casts I think and these tracks may be the same a the ones he has. They very well could be off a Norscot model.

Well don't those just look the part! I believe those are from the First Gear Cat D9E in 1/25 scale. the D9E was done for the ACMOC, and can be had from their web site store. Yes, I have a few different versions of the 1st Gear D9E, beautiful model. There are other 1/25 die-cast crawlers out there from CCM (super $$), 1st Gear, Specast, Conrad & NZG.
If there is interest, i will take each one out, photograph & post images for comparison & modeling.

The 1st gear IH TD-25 tracks are very close & far more accurate than the AMT shoes. & considerably cheaper than a CCM set. Ap40

I took a look at the tracks in other 1/25 scale die cast from 1st gear & spec cast & just about any of them will work & all will look 100 times better than the AMT kit tracks. Besides, you never know what might show up in resin form.......... Ap40

I also emailed CCM and asked if i could buy tracks (Like this models owner did) they said they wernt making this size and it would be cost prohibitive for them to make just tracks... Rick, I think you would sell a mile of these tracks if you cast them...Im looking for a First Gear TD25 logger without the root blade and just the fair leaded winch and possibly attempt to cast a link in resin My Dad had the first TD20 that made it to the woods here in Northern Cal

Be Well Gator Oh brother Gator, dozer & crane tracks... well since the 2 are completely different & admittedly the crane shoes would be far simpler. Give me an idea of what size crawler crane shoe?? Are you looking for a small unit like a M-222 or something bigger, like a M-18000? Ap40
