Found these pictures on Jalopy Journal of all places and thought you would enjoy seeing some old equipment. Logging has never been easy. Mike Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiThis photo is of the Kosmos Logging Co. in Washington State in what appears to be the early '40's. Hosted on FotkiA pair of my favorites. One has 3 railers on the drivers and a single on the trailer, chains that is. We use to pour alcohol in the air lines as the trailer being mounted on the truck would get very cold and when you hooked it up to load and charged the air system the valves would freeze up with out the alcohol. And you thought that we just drank it! lol Mike Hosted on Fotki

MMMMMMM Needle nose KW, one of my favorites. With the resin kit availble from IRC, this one is a must build. Thanks for sharing! Attached is a photo of the new kit. this is the "high mount". A low mount version is available as well. Ahh the possibilities........ Ap40 Attachments:

I must know.............. How do I get one of these from IRC? Do they work on the W-925 frame? Mike Mike, Click on this link, either call or email Bob Sniegowski at IRC. apps.aitruckmodels.com/Gallery/Yess it will work on the W-925 frame or just about any drop front frame, kit or scratch. IRC does NOT have a web site, so Dave at AITM hosts this page with his contact information, photos of all 18 cab kits, and pricing. Highly recomended, all of the kits. I have them all. Ap40

I want to get a couple of those kits. Those KENWORTHS are my favorite trucks. In fact the first thing I ever drove was a 1951 Kw with a 220 cummins and a 5 and 4 transmission loved that old truck. Any way thanks for the info I will try to get one or two. Dave

Just noticed something in the third Pic up top side. The front cheese block is about ready to jump. Could be a difficult load to handle.

The wreck occured on a corner bridge and going to fast and layed her over. The truck went into an embankment and the logs stuffed it from the rear. The driver had some bumps and bruises from the accident as you can see that steering wheel bent up but I really think he was hurting more when I finished with him. This truck had torsion bar suspension which didn't help in this case. Mike
