Found a couple more old log pictures on Jalopy Journal this morning. Enjoy. Mike This one is a 7 foot Fir log filmed in Enumclaw, WA in 1918............ Hosted on FotkiThe next is in Washington as well and appears to be a chain drive Mack with a large "butt cut" Fir............................... Hosted on FotkiThey appear to be off loading, perhaps at a mill or rail siding................... Hosted on FotkiI saw a lot of these and in 1948, when this photo was taken, Herb Lundeen in Bellingham bought a brand new, and new style 48 Ford logger. Hosted on FotkiRight after WW II my neighbor, Abner Ludtke had several converted GI rigs for logging. I have contacted his son in hopes of a picture or two but nothing transpired. Abner's were red with black fenders and a mix between open top and hard top rigs. This unit is a much later version of a GI conversion.................................. Hosted on FotkiI was born in Bellingham, Washington and this picture is from the area. Too bad they didn't have the names as I may have recognised a few..... Hosted on Fotki
