Hi everyone. When i posted this message a few days ago the photo's came up very clear. I just tried to check my photobucket but it seems to be taking forever to load. I know it's an inconvinience but the photos can be viewed on my facebook page under my name of peter hann. The same photos were also uploaded to flickr.com My username is mopar360 but i haven't tried that yet. Hope this helps

Tyson I like the conversion you are making on the AMT Peerless Trailer, but there is a recommendation I will make to you. The air lines running from the air separator brake charger to the braking cylinders their selves should be rubber. The constant up and down movement of the springs verses trailer would break the metal lines as you have them. The rubber would give more buoyant movement to the lines and thus avoid breaking the air lines. With the metal tubing it is like taking a small strip of metal tubing and holding it between both hands and then bending it over and over. The constant movement will generate heat within the metal thus weakening it to the point of breaking.
The same can be said with the way you have the metal lines running from the charger on the trailer body to the air chargers on the brakes. It wouldn't hold up.

Hmmm, I agree with William. The plumbing looks good, but the solid tubing just won't hold up to the flexing and bending. but I think the plumbing work looks good in and of itself.

Hi all. Great to see the photos finally made it to this group. Yes: i do see what you mean about the rigid brake line i've fitted to the brake cylinders. I've never attempted this level of detailing on 1/25 scale models b4. Been working in 1/87 scale for many yrs & i don't do this much detailing. While i've painted the trailer since these photos were taken, i'll go ahead & make these line changes. Many Thanks to all who replied.

Hi all. Hotpave back again for another update. I hope i get more feedback regarding my incorrect placement of the brake lines on my trailer. Last night i replaced the rigid brake lines from the distribution block (my term & i know it's not correct), to the brake cylinders with flexible wire insulation. I'm sure you will identify this by the lovelly red color. Anyway i'll see if i can show you the photos. Well obviously not on June 13. Photobucket's link option is not co-operating today. I'll try again another day. Thanks.

Well the changes look good. You just might need a bit more hose for axle travel. But you have made a marked improvement. looking good.
