Looks like a perfect hayrack trailer for that Ford.

Hey Arnd the answer to your question is unless they had spring brakes nothing. other than the lay of the land and sometimes the landing gear. Its looking good need to move the back bunk all the way to the rear and add another, round here every hay rack has 4 bunks so you can haul either longs or shorts, nice start.

After reviewing your pics i see you do have 4, ok one still needs to go to the end, normally they are built to bunk a 16 foot log which in reality is 16'6". Hope that helps Ive seen them down to 8 feet but not alot.

Arnd, I like the work you've done on the trailer so far. I may just use yours as a guide when I do one>

Hi all I worked again a bit on my trailer. Not a lot dome, but is goes forward. Some pics from the brake system and the reworked wheels. Hey Spimike thanks for your advice. Do you think that it is better the way I moved them now? Do you men I need to have 16 feet from one bunk to the other? So long Arnd

Arnd, I would have left it where it was. but that is just me. I think it looks just fine. Based on what I used to see in Florida , when I lived there. Haven't seen any logging trucks here in the Philippines yet. But they do have some interesting ways of doing things here!
