A standard DM-800 kit, well sort of. scratch double 12" frame, 23K front, 65K rears, 12x24 all around. Mack E-9 V8, and a dump box from the Italeri DAF N2800 kit. AP40 Attachments:

That looks just right. I always thought that the mack dm were on the ugly side unless they had a dump bed on them. You did a great job.

Thanks, I agree with the dump box. Drove several DM-888SX's in quarries, tough, slow and loud.
They also make great oil field bed trucks, working on one a friend photographed in Iran a few years ago.

Beautiful work!! Those are a tough looking truck. Would love to see the bed truck when finished. There are quite a few Macks in Iran, There is a book by Ralf Koch from Germany that deals with Heavy Hauling in Iran, great book!! Some really cool old F models as well. It is available through truckbook.de.
With the embargo on Iran in place, it is much like Cuba, and what they have, they cannot get parts for, so they manufacture a lot of own to make things continue. Very interesting book

Seeing that you are our resident Mack expert. What would that truck be if you added front wheel drive to it. I have a couple of Mack kits I want to do that to!!

Gator Gator, front wheel drive on the DM-800 would be nothing, as it was never an option on that chassis. If you shortened the hood to the same as the DM-600, filled in the fender wells & raised the cab, THEN you can have a front drive axle. See the attached image. The model would then be a DMM-6866SX The other all wheel drive Macks built with the "R" cab are the RD-800, RM-400 & RM-600. If you really want to use the DM-800 as a platform for AWD, then that falls under your "modelers licence" Rick Attachments:
