I built this truck some time back. It was completed in February of 2002. I was going after a smaller off highway type truck. I purchased a kit from eBay and once received realized the engine, transmission, tires, wheels and axles were all missing. I then sourced some parts from my collection to replace the engine, trans, and axles. The tires were purchased from RNK at the time (same tires and wheels now offered by AITM). I built the frame and extended it and detailed the kit V800 with Ken Smith's instructions. I replaced the stock front springs and axle with parts from the Autocar dump truck. The rear walking beams were removed and new ones cast in resin with a 60" axle spread. I added a lot of small details like an air dryer, full plumbing (fuel and air), MV lenses for the headlights and tail lights and custom made IH mudflaps. The log bunks were scratchbuilt with a few kit parts. I used picture frame wire for the cables. The trailer was modified with a new reach and beafier frame. I also reworked the bunk on it to match the truck.
