Well, I finally got a project on the workbench for 2014. It is a rebuild of my friend Steve's Peterbilt. He built it back in the 1980s. It has an airlift axle, set back front axle, lengthened frame and a custom sleeper. It was not up to his building standards in the late 1990s and had his ex-wife's name on the door, so he stripped some parts off of it and gave it to me for the parts bin. I continued to strip it for parts and it pretty much fell apart. Now I am rebuilding it to give to Steve's son. (Steve passed away) All I had left was the original stripped chassis, hood, cab and sleeper, so I opened a new Revell Alaskan hauler for parts. It is about 95% finished. Have I mentioned I really don't like those Revell fuel tanks with the nice visible seam?! Lonestar or Prostar next? ??

The first picture is about 3 days old. last night i did some more work on the Pete. This is this morning when I started the post. All that is left is add the exhaust. I think I decided on the Lonestar as the next project.

Robert, What you've done thus far looks pretty good. I like that you are building it to give to your friends son!
Be Well Gator
