This one was built in 1985 around when this kit was released, the awesome version of the Revell Peterbilt in 1/25 scale as Black Magic. I was thrilled to get this kit as there weren't any other newer 359 kits out there and this one didn't disappoint! It is mostly a box stock build with some steps added to the rear deck, convex mirrors, bug deflector, extra mudflaps and some electrical/air line items. The paint scheme and colours for this one comes from a Peterbilt ad in one of the Truckin magazines of the day and seeing as I had no access to auto paint it is a Canadian Tire laquer rattle can- that in itself has some challenges but the overall models still doesn't look too bad for rattle can paint, top coated with urethane clear coat also a rattle can, The colours are 1976 GM code 36 Firethorn red along with a similar vintage Chrysler deep maroon with Testors gold separating the colours. The trailer is of course Ertl's Great Dane Reefer kit that has Alcoas added in lieu of the spoke wheels. Other then that it is a previous box stock build (in white) that was re-painted to match the tractor only in the darker colour. i888.photobucket.com/albums/ac85/Jimmyjacobs_bucket/359withGreatDane.jpgi888.photobucket.com/albums/ac85/Jimmyjacobs_bucket/359withfromerwhitetrailertillpainte.jpgJim.
