Some time ago, I started to build a pole building for a shop. It would measure out at 32X60 in real space but it's 1/2 inch scale (1:24th) I really need to get back on it but thought I would toss up a pic or two to show you guy's. Mike Here is an end............................. Hosted on FotkiOne side nearly done........................... Mike love this idea. I remember you had it posted on another forum. I have a suggestion on the siding. Use evergreen #14530 Corri gated siding which comes in a 12x24 inch sheet. Its the same sheeting I used on the Lidgerwood I am finishing up. Looks like the real stuff when painted a steel or aluminum color...and then wash it over with thinned flat black and a wash of dirt.
If you need the numbers of the colors I used for washing it, let me know.
Ive been waiting to see this project finished!!!!!!!

I bought a piece of Evergreen #4523 some time ago. It's flat with grooves and small falt strips that you glue in the grooves. I thought that I would glue 2 flat and the 3rd on edge and continue that on down the side. But................................ I'm not sure what to do. One thing I wished that Evergreen would put a drawing of the end of the piece in their catalog so that we could see the relief or height of the panel or raised portions. So, until I find the right thing I just am stumbling along. I do need to get the 4th wall done and start on the roof trusses as I want the roof to lift off. Mike

with the 14530 sheet you only have to cut your doors and windows and size it up for the walls as the raised portion of the corrigation is already made up. It is also flat on the back side and can be painted to simulate plywood backing or white for thermal interior shop insulation. I'm going to send you a sample of iot from the stock I have left from the lidgerwood. It will explain it better and you can see the difference.
I think the stuff you ordered may have been a discountinued item.

Hey Mike, this is something I've always wanted to do. Just not enough space for me too put it here. But I am watching this with interest so I can pick up some pointers. Great job Mike. Keep us posted. Kerry

Like everything else on my bench. Nothing going on. Just drawing a blank I guess. Need to start on the shop again and build the trusses and that will be a hard job as I want the roof to lift off for display. Mike
