Robert,
As much time as I spend on the other forums, I must have missed this rig. I really like the build and as far as the brightness on it, if you want to bring it down to the colour and looks of the 1:1, a good wash of watered down Polly Scale Modelrailroad Paint #F414317, Concrete will give it the look of the 1:1 in the picture. I do all my rigs with this color wash and gives them a dirty and dusty look depending on how heavy you want to go with it.
Aside from straying into weathering, I really like this rig and the matching of the 1:1 is fantastic and as close as you can get. WOW!!!!!!
Is that the old Erie-Lachawana Viaduct behind the 1:1 out side of Scranton, Pa?

Thanks guys, will give the Pollyscale wash a try. Truck isn't quite as dirty in this profile view, which also shows trailer I will be building (basically AMT 40' flatbed with suspension altered to 9' Michigan spread). Photo actually shows Martins Creek viaduct on the old DL&W (Lackawanna) line, a very impressive structure in its own right that is less well known than its big brother, Tunkhannock viaduct a few miles further south. First time I used this route (US 11, runs paralell with I-81) I saw this bridge and, having read about Tunkhannock viaduct in Trains magazine, thought this was it. Imagine my surprise a few miles down the road when I got to Nicholson, PA and saw the REAL Tunkhannock viaduct!

Saw this on another forum and thought the model to be a 1:1 unit until I got into the text. Very nice job! Mike
