Now thats a fine looking truck. I always like the lines of the Superliner when they started to make a show of it. Great model and attention to detail.

Robert, Nice build of the Superliner kit. Did you scratch a correct frame or just use the kits generic frame?

Great looking Superliner. How did the 1:1 ride? Was it a good truck?

Thanks guys, IIRC the 1:1 still rode a bit rough (it was a Mack R at heart, after all! ) and was a good truck, originally bought by an o/o so had aluminum wheels all around and "dual everything" including external air cleaners. "Normal" (as in no Magnum V8) power, 350 Mack with 15 speed. Model version was helped along by articles by Evan Hermel on making the Italeri kit more accurate, I found them on the modeltrucks25 site. Frame was modified per the articles and Neway rear suspension (from Plaskit) used as the real truck had Neway. I didn't modify the cab as external breathers hide the taper at cowl area fairly well. Kit engine block sanded smooth and styrene pieces added to make a representative, admittedly not 100% accurate, Mack E6.

This morning on the way into the city, i saw a new J-F Mack Pinnacle coming off Interstate 81 south, heading to the Pilot near I-90. Dark blue, integral sleeper, dual stacks behind the bunk, pulling a flat with a load of teal coated pipe. Sorry no camera with, but sharp truck just the same.
