Some truckers in Oregon got together and made a pass over Tombstone Pass which is east of Sweet Home and in the Cascade Mountains and made a run for it. It's led by a couple of loggers that are running cheese blocks instead of stakes and many others to follow. Nothing like the sound of a Cummins 220/250 with a backdrop manifold barking against the trees. It lasts for about 25 minutes so get an oil can full of diesel so you can spray a bit of odor in the air, some pop corn and sit back and relax. I want one of these so bad but no where to put it so I build models. Perhaps these will inspire your models as well. Enjoy Mike www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh1n16dFsHI&feature=emailAnd YES! The roads over the Oregon Cascades have red shoulders. It's volcanic ash and really creates a pretty site against the green backgound of the forests.

That was a fantastic video, nothing like the sound of a nice truck pulling up the hill. When I was a kid alot of trucks used to haul by our house. I remember one very well because my dad really like the sound of it. I think he said it had what he called a two and 6 bits in it? So maybe a 275 or something. Hoping you guys could help me out. I think it was a narrow nose kenworth.

275 Cummins that had a blower. Neat old motors and rare. Cummins also built a 300 with a blower. The reason I mention that is after these motors they came out with the turbo and never went back to blowers. Mike
