Check these out. they are a bit finiky to work with, but they are slick when done. Archer water slide resin cast rivet heads & casting details. Originally developed for rail road models & military, but they can be used on any model any scale.

They are handy items - I got similar ones through the Micro-Mark website and found the O scale ones match well with most 1/25 trucks, HO for 1/43 and also the 1/25 "snap" W900 as it has much finer rivet detail than the old AMT kits.
