Well, here the update with the latest progress I have make a start with the weathering. A dot of putty, grinding and a pencil of paint and the holes in the chassis are vanished. I make these things to bring on the chains. Just a small part styrene and a bended piece of brass will do the job I guess. I ordered the chains by the local hobbyshop, I also ordered the Peerless logtrailer. You can see it on the picture before, I weathered the catwalk and headache. Let me introduce to you Ed and Fred. ;D I found these guys in the spare-box and the will be posed if everything on the truck is finished. But first the need some new clothes. Well thats the update for now. Greets, Eddy

Hello Eddy, I'm just catching up with this build of yours and I read the entire thread and the progress you've made. I like the work your doing and your very talented. I noticed the hand rail is in the front of the exhaust muffler. Maybe the angle I'm looking but it appears that the door would not open with it in that position. But there is so much to like on your truck. I will watch this to see more of your talent can't hardly wait to see what you are going to do with the trailer. Super Super job Eddy. Kerry

Thanks for the reply's guys, I noticed the hand rail is in the front of the exhaust muffler. Maybe the angle I'm looking but it appears that the door would not open with it in that position. Kerry Thanks for your nice words of comment Kerry. Have I placed the hand rail on the wrong site? If so.........oeps I shall see what I can do about it. I still waiting for a phone call when my ordered stuff is arrived by the local hobby shop. (AMT peerless trailer and some chains) If this is arrived I will place an update Greets, Eddy

Hi guys, At last I have the log trailer. At the local hobbyshop it lasted me too long, so I have bought him at the web shop. Yesterday ordered 15.00 hours, today 9.00 hours went the door bel and stood the postmen for the door with package. Next step is all components of the frontbunk to become re-scaled from 1/25 to 1/24. (I have been appropriate the original frontbunk on the truck but it is me nevertheless exactly something too small.)
This is for me the first time to scratch these things so tips and tricks are most welcome. . There wil be a update soon of this Western Star. Greets, Eddy

Thanks guys, Today I started to scratch the logbunk. With the AMT bunk for example I scratch a larger one, because the AMT size is just to small in my opinion ;D It's all in a rough shape and dry fitted so the next few days there gonna be a lot of filling and gritting. Greets, Eddy
