THis is a 1970's Hayes Clipper 200 winch tractor. The cab is a RNK (now AITM) resin kit. the frame is a parts box AMT KW W-900, along with the hendrickson rear suspension & Eaton axles. THe Cat 3406A, 5ht wheel, wheels & tires, rockinger hitch are all old RNK resin bits. The exhaust & air cleaner top is turned from aluminum bar stock. THe crane is a box stock Italeri Effer unit, with a KFS small winch behind it. Ap40 Attachments:

William,
Thanks, real Alberta mud for the weathering. Let it dry out, then a mortar & pestal to get it real fine. Mix it with a little water & a drop of dish soap.
I really like the off highway types. Have built only a few with Chrome & sleepers.

Nice job and the idea I like about the mud. William I have found that for the total accuracy, when mixing the "mud" for the model, that a drop of diesel fuel in the mix gives teh model and authentic aroma! Ap40

Gorgeous work You even have the bear on the hood!! Only problem is, you didn't take nearly enough of the Alberta mud with you!! we still have to occasionally chain up!! Water skiing behind a D-6 cat really only LOOKS like fun............ Nice to see the Hayes!! they were very good trucks, and had their own element of followers.
Thanks for sharing with us Richard
Cheers
Roger
