The first kit I put together after restarting this hobby in 2006 was an Italeri Peterbilt 377 kit. Built straight from the box, I sprayed it in a black metallic coat, using only the Red Ovals on the radiator crown and the mudflaps. I never liked how it looked, so in 2010 I took it apart and rebuilt it. I took it apart before thinking about taking pics of the original build... I kept with black (thank you, Henry Ford, for defining that as a color ) but in a gloss shade this time. The engine got more realistic looking details, impersonating a Cat (the famous Detroitopillar), updated the interior a little and I used the Wilson Trucking decals from the RoG Heavy Gravel Trailer kit; naturally, when that beast is built, it will sit behind this tractor. After getting it finished, I wanted a straight red line running along the sides. Applying those decals (frome the aforementioned Heavy Gravel Trailer kit) worked fine on the hood, but on the cowl and doors the old decals were having trouble with the detailing in the plastic. Not wanting to mess up the truck, I removed the red line decals, but on the hood it's still visible where they sat. It gives this Pete a well used look; a small fleet tractor, showing it's age a little.

Thanks! It looks so much better than the original version I did. The stacks I made of Evergreen rod, it's now a 'zero-restriction' exhaust. Probably illegal in California...

Thank you! The weathering was by accident, but after all, it worked out quite well. Not sure if I'm the only one here that builds nice trucks; I've spotted many great builds here by everybody else, but thanks for the compliment anyway! ;D
