So here is the contrast between the Erectors shiny Peterbilt's & the Riggers older Mack fleet. This was the last truck i drove for Riggers. It was the only one i liked, Mack RD-688SX, double frame, 65,000 # rear tandem, 18K front, 11:00x24 boots. 300 hp Mack ENDT672-SCAC, 10 speed (Mack duplex). It had holes in the floor, pass side window was held up with duct tape & a rag, but i could yank stumps out of the ground with no problem. Ap40 Attachments:

Here is the other old blue R, this one was the favorite to go more than 50 miles from the shop. R-685ST, 44K rears, 18K front, 11:00x24 all, same ENDT-673-SCAC, but his time hooked to a 18 speed. Ap40 Attachments:

Now those are neat old Macks. I've seen them running and would swear they were held together with baling wire.

Bailing wire and a big hammer made a lot of things run. Mike
