Hi all from New Zealand, I found this forum and signed up immediately, and have been impressed by the craftsmanship of all you guys. Not exactly a logging set-up, but I hope worthy of posting here. Cheers Kelvin

Those are both awesome. Is the excavator a kit or where did you find it. Very nice.

Hi again, Thanks for your kind words guys, it is I suppose my first construction based rig, and the now deleted KFS excavator was the starting point, it is based on units operated here in Dunedin,(sth Island). I hope to start a build of this truck, (more up you logging truckers alley)... using this as a reasonable starting point..

That is going to be a sweet build. Love the look of a 8 legger, and on the Inter ACCO cab & chassis to boot.
where did the cab kit come from??

Hey Richard, A bloke sells them on Ebay, out of Australia, he has a bit of a bad rep' on some forums, but I had absolutely no problems with him.
Im using the ERTL Inter F2575 as the donor, The first hurdle I have is to find another pair of front wheels for the twinsteer, they are quite unique and those early kits are like rocking-horse droppings now. Any suggestions guys?
Thanks Kelvin

Hi Kelvin & all. Nice to see tour Hitachi excavator model. I'm somewhat of a fan of Hitachi construction equt myself. Looking at your International T-line twin steer project, i note you say it'll be hard finding another set of steer wheels. Just looked up Auslowe site & they list 2 types of 6 spoke resin steer wheel sets. Not sure what brand of front wheels are on the full size Acco but the auslowe versions are branded as standard rim REYCO &, std. rim MALCO 6 spoke. Hope this might help. www.auslowe.com.auGreat modeling. Thanks. Pete Over the pond from you in Australia
