Even though it sits outside along side of my house...it makes me tear up thinking of the old man behind the wheel. I was his go to girl...whenever he broke down I headed up the hill to get him. Been in some hair ball places trying to find him on the old logging roads. He was a week away from 80 years old when he passed unexpectedly and still hauling logs for Green Diamond Co. Down here in Northern California. He was a die hard skinner, just like my own dad.

You sure don't see alot of cab over loggers but that particular old boy swore by them, he could run any truck but he loved that one. Kept everything brand new as far as the motor, etc. Sure was a nice load he had on that day!
Got some pictures of his old cab over Jimmy he had for years I will post later.

I can only say that time has a way of healing, or softening the loss. I lost my father in 2010, after watching the rapid degeneration of a great man battling Parkinson's. He spent his whole life in the woods & with the trees. but that is another story. My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. Ap40

I am very sorry for your loss. It is great that you guys ended up with his truck. My dad is in his last stage of his illness, and he give me a while back one of the first trucks he ever drove. It is an old rust bucket now and is in rough shape, but it kind of helps. Anyway that is a great picture and thanks for shareing. Dave
