I just thought that one of these would be appropriate on a trucking site, since we all know and love these...... The white stripes were painted on. A friend sent me the out of production decals for the Idaho State Police. Looking at the old pics shows me small things that I can do to improve each model. So, when I am in the mood, I'll pull it off of the shelf and play a little. OH and YES, we in Idaho do call them "skunk mobiles", but that is just because of the white strips.

I've got that sinking feeling........ Sharp! Here in Ontario we have gone back to black & whites for the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP, our equivalent to your state police) after a number of years in plain white. Speaking of plain white, the ones you really don't want to see decorating your mirror when driving a truck here are the MTO (Ministry of Transportation, Ontario) who are our "DOT", they run white vehicles with green/gold stripes - and red roof lights!

Nice looking police car.
Here in New York our State Police cars are dark blue with a yellow stripe running down the side.

nice build of a drivers nightmare!
Ok, so New York, State Troopers cars are dark blue with yellow stripes, cars used currently are the crown vic, Mustang interceptors, and the GMC Tahoe. DOT uses a full sized Ford E-350 van & F-350 pick ups. all of the local city & towns use just about any color combination.
My little town does NOT have a police office, 3 towns to the west does & they have switched over to the Dodge Charge in black & white and they are down right mean looking.

Thanks for the comments, sounds like a lot of experience with police cars here........ ;D mostly DOT check points from my days of heavy haul. For the super loads they left us alone as we were permitted 6 ways to Sunday. We had more issues with the "Barney Fife's in blue" )(#&%$)#@($ rednecks with a badge...... Ap40

Nice cruiser! I love North American cop cruisers! So much bigger, better and more 'Police' than the stuff the cops over here have to drive. In October '11 I had a ride-along with the Dallas PD in a Charger. Got to replicate that cruiser some day...

Crapolla, I remember when they used to sit out from the logging road entrances and wait for the trucks to enter the main highway and then grab 'em. A lot of drivers I knew from Wayne Bare Logging would wait and make the 'Midnight Run' to the mill. A lot of them here in Oregon, would do the Midnight Run to get a load in also. Me included when I was stand in driver.
