Robert, Nice to see one in use. MOW trucks are super cool and so specialized. At the Mack dealership, we had a CSX Western Star similar to that in which we serviced. No one else would touch it, I worked on with a former crane mechanic. They all have the Eaton C-Mat semi auto transmissions.
One thing, with the ride-a-rail chassis set up, since the rear tires are only singles & they are much closer together than normal highway truck, these things are so tipsy on the highway. Very top heavy feeling.

I was looking at the rear tires/axles being so narrow, and the high center of gravity for the crane. I bet that would be a hand full to drive on a back road to the tracks!!!
