Ok guys, as promised, sorry it took a while. These were taken all over the USA from 2006 to 2010. the tower sections or "cans" weigh in from a light 88,000# to 167,000#, that is just the LOAD! Ap40 Attachments:

we would pick off the rail car with the small (200 ton) crawler crane & "walk" the crane with the can floating just off the ground & stage for load out on the trucks as needed by the site. Ap40 Attachments:

we hauled the blades in one or 2 at a time, all depending on permit restrictions. these are 125' long! in 1/25 scale that is 6' Ap40 Attachments:

this is the nacelle, sits on top of the tower & the rotor (hub & 3 blades) bolt to the round flange. This chunk was a light 110,000. It is being loaded on a trailer that is also set up to haul cans. Ap40 Attachments:

Wow, those are some serious loads. A wind farm was built just 30 miles from us and I never got to see anything brought in.
