I'm more into ag and construction models than logging models. Therefore my model collection has more tractors than logging trucks. I built a series of 1/25th scale dioramas around the tractor kits that Ertl issued back in the mid 70's. Some of them have been around for a while. Some of you may have seen these on other sites, but since there are new folks here I thought that I would repost them on this site. I'll post them chronologically so the first is a summer scene based on the IH 1466 tractor kit and the IH plow kit as well thanks for looking. I'll continue to add to this topic as I get some free time. Carl

WOW! Thats a nice scene. I've always wanted to pick up the tractors, but they always sell so high. Very nice though. Cal

Carl,
I've seen this dio before and was impressed then as much as now. I love the AG modeling which a lot of modelers do mainly because where I live there is very little of the real thing going on. I have to travel to the upper Willamette Valley into our Agricultural area to even get a glimps of something like this in real life. I have an Old JD kit by ERTL which I have been hoarding for years and I'm trying to get up enough nerve to crack the seal on it and do something different.
Anyway I love this dio. It shows a lot of feel for the real thing. Lets see some more.
William

Thanks guys. The IH tractor and plow were glue bombs that I acquired and rebuilt. The girl is from the Tamyia Campus Friends kit and the guy greasing the plow is a Fujimi mechanic. Most of the the stuff in the truck bed is scratch built, like the tool box, the jack-all and the thermos. The turned sod was made from drywall compound and model railroad ground cover. William, This sort of farming activity happens all over this part of Western Ontario. I'm not a farmer but I have many friends and relatives who are. Thanks again Carl
