So the corn is off and we're going to plant some winter wheat in this field. In this part of the world when you turn over soil the seagulls are not very far away. They're always looking for afree meal. This diorama uses the 1/25th scale Ertl plow and JD4430 tractor kits. Thanks for looking Carl

Now This is really neat. Where did you get all those seagulls? Did you make them or purchase them as they add a lot of movement to the diorama. Those ERTL plows and tractor attachments I really miss as I remember when they were released back in the 70's but I was more into trucks than AG equipment. Great dio and the realism is astounding.

Thanks Guys The Seagulls are a mixture of modified toy ducklings that I found at TSC and scratch built critters. I used epoxy putty to shape the wings after I ground off the parts that looked like ducks. There should be about 3 times as many birds as I have to be close to reality but I got tired of making them I too was not into farm stuff when these first appeared. By the time I realized that I wanted them they were scarce. I've been on the scrounge for them for years. I had to settle for gluebombs for some of my tractors. I still have not found a Massey plow yet. The wagons were all the same just cast in different coloured plastic. IH seems to be the most prevolent. Thanks Carl

Carl,
I have a show coming up in feb in Harrisburg. Its a Farm and equipment show but they have a lot of vendors up there who sell old models. I picked up a ERTL JD like the one in your photo and the JD Back hoe for thirty dollars last year in the package wrap. I'll keep my eyes open this year also for the attachments.
William.

I know Carl I wish I would of got a tractor or two when I could of, but at the time there were others that I had to have. The tractors would have made a great flatbed load. Dave Thanks Carl
