You know tht Manke Lumber in Tacoma, WA takes Hemlock and Fir down to 2 inch tops. We never use to mess with anything under 18 to 20 inches but the new mills can't handle anything over 30 inches. Anything over 30 inches is over size and takes special handing and of course less money. Mike

Thats so the greeners can keep the old growth in the forest to rot on the stump and fall and leave the second and third for cutting at a lot more expence to the industry.
