So now its frame time, do you guys know how hard it is to get 103/4 plastic? scale of course, its been a nightmare so i sttled at 11 mm I beam ill have even more work now simple, just fabricate it. cut .040 the sizes of strips you need, then glue it together to form a chassis rail. Ap40

i agree rick if cuting off the sides of the i beams doesnt work ill have to do that. The cabs about ready for some primer im thinking of using the kilz primer to cover all my body work. Im sure ill have some touching up but im pretty proud of it right now. Getting the front of that sd cab to look right was a job in itself but i like it much better now, more pics to come soon hopefully in primer.

Oh and a side note if anyone else is interested in building one of these the frames are 103/4 inches tall and either 34 or 40 inches wide depending on 848,849,850 model, and theres TONS of reference pics at heavy equipment forums to drool over and help alot.

I think it comes in rattle cans rick i know tim the peterbilt guy swears by it for covering up revells colored plastic.

By the way rick did you receive my e mail about tires, i mistakenly gave the g177 as a trailer tire im sure you have figured that out if you got it.

Mike, Tim doesn't use Kilz; he uses Zinsser/BIN Primer. I've used it, and it works well; but you need to follow the directions on the can EXACTLY! The directions say to shake it upside down, then you really need to shake it upside down.

excellent rick so i got it wrong oh well but it is another day i have been fighting with ebay and pay pal all day im not really in a good mood at this point definately not directed at anyone here but is it to much to ask people speak english? hell they take your money asap cant they credit it the same as they take it.

thanks for the info on the primer rick, i appreciate your input,sometimes things just get stuck in my mind, they arent always right and ill admit when im wrong kinda weird for someone that drove log trucks for 25 years
